I'm trying to stay positive and upbeat and not be discouraged as I observe what is happening in this country. Politics seems to be dividing people more than ever and there are those who are deliberately and calculatingly gaslighting and focusing on what they know will manipulate the emotions and actions of people for their own goals and interests. I hope the majority of people will come to realize how they're being manipulated, brainwashed, and used for selfish and politically motivated ambition. I believe they will.

What frustrates me is how the religious leaders want to get political and the political leaders want to show how religious they are.

As things are ‘darker ‘ now than even before C 19 , are we in the time of “And Satan will be loosed ” ?

Revelation is a mystery to me . All I really know /believe about it is - chaps 1-12 are one view , and chaps 12 - the end , are a different view of the same , overlaid . That is the only way to make sense of it.

I have no idea where we are in the Plan , or in revelation ….but I’m wondering if this is the time when God folds his hands as it were , and Satan is loosed ( to test the saints on who will stand and who will opt out ) before the final end .
Which could yet be many years …..

I think many parts of Revelation has more than one application. Revelation, first of all, applies to anyone who reads it. Anyone. If John was mistaken about that, he'd be mistaken about the rest. He says it at the beginning of the book and at the end.

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Revelation 22:6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Anyone who read it and "heard" something and then "kept" the sayings would be blessed. The mystery is how this could apply to people nearly 2000 years ago. When I am gardening, I often see splendid material clouds lined with light; and it reminds me to pray, "Come quickly, Jesus."

There are seven stages to the perfection of each saint, and I believe in seven stages (or days) to the perfection of the world. While many things can come true in the life of the saint, that does not mean it is totally true for the history of the world; but know this: Each saint who makes progress in his or her life is helping the progress of the planet too.

What does John mean by saying he saw the Holy City "coming" down? He uses the present tense! I believe the Holy City has been coming down since the Foundation of the world. Each saint is helping do that too. It's like magnets with one polarity above and another below. The saints are helping draw it down.

Each saint also helps curb the power of Satan and his legions. Satan (in global terms) has not been bound totally yet. The Dark Side knows it's coming, so they are behaving desperately if you ask me. They're making some mistakes too. The more mistakes they make, the better since more people will see the truth and reject evil.

One principal to find solace in is how God holds off as long as He can out of mercy. As long as it's possible for more people to come to the Light and be saved, the heavenly time-table can be changed. What God does often depends on what we do. If we repent, He forgives, etc.

Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

I'd say the Flood ended one age or one world since if it hadn't been ended, no flesh could have been saved. But like you I can't judge when the current age or world will reach that point.

Back to the original point now: While most of Revelation can apply to the life of each saint, it also can apply to the world at large. Globally, I'd say Satan is still deceiving the nations -- meaning he's not started the thousand years of being in prison.

When he gets released after his imprisonment for a thousand years, note it's for a "little season" only. He will fail miserably. Everyone on the planet will have been taught the truth and know it. Everyone will know what good government is too. Anyone who chooses evil after the Thousand Years of benevolent rule will have no excuse for choosing evil. Right now, I'd say most of humanity (including myself) don't know everything -- most people can't be condemned too hastily for making poor decisions. Those who side with Satan after the Thousand Years will have no such excuse; we cannot say they are sinning in ignorance.

I believe when a saint enters the perpetual rest, he has reached the end of time and entered eternity. For him, there is no more time since he has heard the Seventh Trump and the mystery of God is finished for him. Time goes on for others however.

So did John hear it? I say he did and he wrote in Revelation about hearing that voice like a trumpet. He also wrote about being "caught up." Did he see the return of Jesus before he died?

There is an interesting story about Peter asking Jesus about John.

John 21:21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

Did John achieve a state of sinlessness? I think he did. It may be rare in this world, but I think he did.

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

I especially like the part that I quoted .
It makes a lot of sense I can see it..
And looks like these things are nowhere near over or coming to a close . I was hoping that we were further along than we are.

Well, life on the planet can be dismal, for sure; but remember God gave dominion over the earth to mankind, and we can intercede for others and ask Heaven for help for others. "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

Sometimes I don't know what to pray for, so I pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
