It's not a good idea to block and obstruct armed federal officers and then nearly run one of them over while accelerating the car. On the other hand, it's not a good idea to stand in front of a moving car that is accelerating in your direction. Get out of the way and I don't believe it was necessary to shoot her. That could have been avoided and should have been avoided.
From what I read, the two ICE agents who were there first gave conflicting orders -- one said get out of the car and the other to get out of the area.

Noem had mentioned that the shooter in this case had been involved in another case when he was dragged by a vehicle last June.  An FBI source confirmed that was the case to the Daily Mail. Now his identity is known.   The FBI agent seemed to realize that the ICE agent  could have been suffering from PTSD and overreacted.

I'd say the ICE agent made a   mistake in the prior case too.

The officer and others had stopped him at 8am on June 17 and were attempting to detain him on an immigration order, the court heard.

They requested that he open his window and door, but he only put the window partially down and refused further orders, the court heard.

The ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officer broke the rear window and unlocked the door.

Munoz then drove off and mounted the car with the officer's arm trapped inside.

He was dragged at least 100 yards, causing a serious injury to his arm.

I would say he was inadequately trained to make such a risky move to detain the immigrant that way.  I feel sorry for him in a way; and I think he has PTSD.  He should not have been returned to the same  job after recovering from his injuries.   I think the FBI agent who spoke to the Daily Mail sees it that way too.

Trump was in too big of a hurry to detain more immigrants than Biden so ICE hired loads of new people (some without vetting) and then hurried them through training.   Don't be surprised if Congress has a hearing about it and some FBI agents testify.

There are rules about using lethal force. The FBI agent interviewed by the Daily Mail weighed in.

The official shared how typically that previous incident would be used to establish agent's state of mind during Wednesday's shooting.

'State of mind, that's part of a good investigation. You establish what their state of mind was. If they get nervous around cars,' the source added.

The FBI agent noted that he does not believe Ross was justified in his shooting of Good.

'Shot one, sort of can be argued, but shots two and three - they cannot be argued.'

The two agents already talking to the woman could have handled the situation.  No one's life was threatened at that point.  The agent who did the shooting probably shouldn't have put back on the same job.

We also just had federal officers shoot and kill a woman who was trying to turn her car around.  So far as I can see, that's all she did.

Lately, I found myself using Facebook on mobile most of the time as 'Kerim Fahme'. So, I don't open my laptop daily as I used to do.
It seems year 2026 has many surprises... as the one on Jan 3.
I have a Facebook account not with my real name. The main reason I have an account is because there is a private group that I am a member of on Facebook. Only those in that group are on my Facebook friends list.

I thought he was doing well for America, like controlling a new oil land in South America.
I don't think that's going well at all. We're making people hate America.

About Facebook, I don't follow anyone, I just add comments, whenever necessary, not less than 10 long ones daily, while I don't expect to be understood ;D
If it's fun, great.  I don't belong to Facebook.

I also read that the Kurds and Syrian military broke out again.  I had hoped the ceasefire would hold.

Facebook is probably more exciting than this site.

My guess is that Trump won't fill out his full term.  He'll either be impeached and kicked out of office -- or resign to avoid being embarrassed.  It looks like the Democrats will win the midterms, so that's probably when it will happen.

Yes, I heard there was sort of fighting not too far from my neighborhood, but in general the city is safe, at least where I used to go to buy food or else.
Good to hear.  Let's hope it stays safe in general -- I'm hoping the ceasefire holds.

I am afraid when someone has no more kids around him to let them be happy in holidays with new gifts, mainly in Christmas, the holiday passes like an ordinary day.
Sorry to hear this, Kerim.
