Greetings James,
I do not have your understanding of Rev 16 TrevorL or of church history.  I wonder what, if anything you see in the rise of AI and of Elon Musk. Two identities that have in a short time become pushed into our conscience by a news hungry media?
Nice to hear from you, an old hand. I only joined recently and the forum seems to be fairly quiet with few active participants. Nevertheless this forum seems to be better than two forums that I was active with but have recently closed and another which seems to be failing.

I do not consider many short term sensational news items have any real bearing on the Book of Revelation and the many OT Prophecies. These are the type of fanciful speculations that I consider would be popular in some Evangelical and Pentecostal talks. How do you understand Daniel 2, which I consider to be a good place to start to understand both Daniel and the Book of Revelation. I consider Daniel 2:35,44 are relevant to the Time of the End.

Kind regards
Trevor

May I suggest you tell someone with no substance to give on pretty much any topic to stop sliding in her triune attacks on them because whenever that happens, I'll be there like it or not. Suspend me and I'm gone for good no problem. You can have her all to yourself and well-deserved.

Why do you adopt such a tone?  Why concern yourself so much with what others do when I asked you to reread the rules?  Do you feel you have the right to break the rules because you don't like what others do?  If others are breaking the rules, why not report them?  I have not had anyone report a post for violations in ages.  That is one reason I have been lax.

Did you vote in the poll about allowing members to delete responses in threads they start?  I am hoping that might end some of the posts that look random.

Where have you been? You've let this go on long enough. And you ask me why I don't report? Please. Your self-admitted laxity, my man. She's been admonished by everyone here including yourself at one time or another. I'm not going to go crying to another man about a woman. You have eyes. I'll carry on my way if this continues.

It seems no one read the rules; or if they did, they didn't care about them.  Why didn't you report behavior you found unacceptable?

12.  If you see what you consider infractions of the rules, please notify the moderators.  Do not try to handle things yourself. That can make things worse.

As for my being lax, I had adopted the attitude that if people wanted to be rude with each other, who was I to tell them no?

You made me laugh by saying, "I'm not going to go crying to another man about a woman."  You simply couldn't report a woman to the moderator, but you could keep doing what you have been doing?  Surely you jest.

No jesting. You know the rules. Your site. You moderate. You see the behaviour of substanceless attacks by substanceless-with-regard-to-topic-posting. You see the multiple times I wrote this.

Who were you to tell them no about rudeness? Then why remind me of the rules? LOL.

I can easily keep doing what I'm doing. It's you who interjected.

I have stopped being lax.  I intend to let this thread return to what TrevorL intended when he started it without interruptions.  Don't waste your time trying to post in this thread again if off topic since  it won't appear.

I understand that the frog-like spirits are speaking of the French influence to achieve this "harmony" of purpose, with each of these areas contributing to the voice of preparing for war.

I couldn't let this go because it's so hilarious to me. I don't know if you actually believe this or you're having the Reader on but bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

The French are frogs according to your take on John's book? The 7 churches knew that? ROFL! Any mention of "Krauts" there?  "Scousers"? "Taffies"? "Kiwis"? "Chicos"?

Thanks. Made my day. How some pre-millennialists know how to entertain with their theories (wiping away a tear ).

When you want to get serious about what's actually 'twixt the bookends of John's book, I'll tell you what the frogs mean in that day.

The 6th Vial uses the figure or symbol of the drying up of the river Euphrates and then also speaks of frogs as if they are croaking repeatedly. This is part of the overall figurative language scene. This scene uses the pattern of the conquest of Babylon by the Medes and Persians at night when they diverted the Euphrates and most probably frogs would have been evident. The end result of the scene in Revelation 16:12-16 is that these frog like spirits will lead the nations, especially as represented by the three centres of power, the Dragon = Russia in Constantinople as a military power, the False Prophet= the Papacy as a religious influence holding sway over Europe and most probably combining with the Eastern Orthodox, and the Beast = Europe as a whole with its political and military, an echo of the Holy Roman Empire. The seven Congregations would not have known the significance of these latter day developments, but we can understand the reality of what will happen here because of past and present historical developments. I will leave the "frogs" for your own assessment if what I have briefly explained is relevant to the present circumstances and immediate future. I am not sure if you are also laughing at my understanding of the Euphrates, the Dragon, the False Prophet and the Beast, and the Battle of Armageddon and the Coming of Christ.

One of our recent speakers used the German word that has been adapted into our English language "the zeitgeist", the spirit of the age or times, the general present concepts which are corrupt from a Divine perspective, but which are continually advertised like the croaking of frogs. This can be led by political leaders, or the populace in general. Here in Revelation this croaking comes out of these three political, religious, military centres. In my fellowship we allow a fairly wide ebb and flow of ideas and speakers.

Your assessment of all of this has already been stated in your earlier Post
Good luck with all that.
I am willing to bide my time with my assessment, and "luck" is not involved. No, I am not interested in hearing any more of your Preterist view of this portion or any portion of the Book of Revelation and OT Prophecy. I have tested the Preterist view and rejected it and found it extremely fanciful. Speaking of being amused ...

Kind regards
Trevor
